These are customisable packages, so should you want to adjust something, select specific models or tailor the handouts / day to a particular audience we are more than happy to discuss something that can make everyone happy - we want this hobby to be as accessible and open as it can be! We also offer expansion to cater to larger audiences (more than 40 per session) - please just reach out and ask and we are happy to chat through possibilities.
What do we provide?
A choice of 3 distinct models for the painters to select based on skill level and theme - it always helps to paint a model you love the look of! These models come pre-primed in black and white so highlights and shadows are taken care of, already attached to a base, so all the painters have to do is focus on colour selection and enjoying the process.
All the supplies required to paint the models. This includes a range of 12 colours, brushes, palettes, tissue, water cups, silicon protective mats and table cloths to protect the tables.
Handouts that guide the painters through their first steps, as well as some advice on colour selection and then possible next steps if they want to get involved and paint again after the sessions
2+ guides (typically Jon + Flossy but we could bring more if required) who are there to guide the participants through the sessions, chatting and offering advice on how to paint, from beginner techniques through to more advanced options that the painters can experiment with.
We will travel to you if you are within 20 miles of Guildford free of charge (what we refer to as a Local event). If the distance is between 20 and 60 miles (Regional) there is an additional £30 travel fee to cover fuel / train tickets etc. Anything greater than 60 miles we call a National service and would need to check exact distances and travel arrangements to confirm.
What do we require from you?
Tables & Chairs - We do not have the space to bring tables and chairs to seat up to 40 people at a time, so we ask that organisers provide seating and table space for individuals. We have tablecloths to cover most table sizes, and typically we see organisers setting up tables that range from seating 4 (so 10 tables max) to 4 tables of 10 but are happy to work with you and your space as to what feels best.
Chairs for Us/Non-Painters - Please do remember a couple of extra chairs for non-painters, or for one of the guides to have a quick 5 min sit down during the day if there is a break / no questions - thank you!
Separate Table Space - We would request 2+ standard size (6ft x 3ft) tables at the side of the space where we can set up one table for packing / sorting models and paints, and then another for displaying some of our painted models and options for people to view and purchase should they wish to continue the hobby at home.
